Exceptional Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral Wound Gaskets (SWG) are made with an alternating combination of an engineered metal strip and a more compressible filler material which creates an excellent seal when compressed. The SWG material including metal strip and filler material can be selected for a wide range of applications. All SWGs have been engineered to comparison precise manufacturing tolerances that allow for lower stress (bolt load) sealing in comparison to conventional spiral wound gaskets.

Global SWGs Meet ASME B16.20 Standards, which stipulate that an inner ring is required for all PTFE filled gaskets and for all class 900, 1500 and 2500 class gaskets. Quality Assurance complies to API Specification Q1 and ISO 9001:2000.

Global SWGs Exceed Customer Expectations. For example, style 6000OR and 6000IOR carbon steel centering rings are zinc electroplated providing superior corrosion resistance. Zinc electroplating (silver color) also makes it easier to identify
gaskets since it does not fill in the identification mark. 6000OR SWGs and 6000IOR SWGs are manufactured to meet the different types of flanges (Gaskets for non-standard flanges are also available).

RGA has been cutting gaskets for 45 years.

Whether it’s large volume, OEMs, or special cut MRO gaskets, RGA has the equipment, experience, and the employee owners who take great pride in making sure the job is done right. From single piece gaskets up to 60” x 180” or larger segmented gaskets made from various materials up to 5” thick, RGA has the capability to meet your needs for all types of industrial applications.

We Cut Custom Gaskets with Precision

We can custom cut your specialty gasket from a wide variety of in-stock materials. Almost all of our custom fabricated gaskets are made in house. Some gaskets are still cut by hand or created using our die press, but our flashcutter and our waterjet have greatly expanded our capabilities, accuracy, and speed.

With our waterjet and flashcut capabilities, RGA can offer custom parts made with extreme precision. Our designers can create parts from dimensional data, samples, or you can provide your own drawing files to be used on our machines. Let us draw and design a custom part to meet your needs, where we can save them for repeatability every time you need to restock. Because of our expansive range of materials, we can get the custom parts you need right when you need them.
